Crisis in Afghanistan

This week Fred and Matt approach one of our more difficult topics on this podcast, as we talk about current events in Afghanistan amidst the Taliban take-over. In particular, we want to use our platform for inter-generational discussion on how young people have reacted to events in Afghanistan.

This is a serious topic for a lot of people, so we want to investigate some of the history of Afghanistan over the last 200 years, what duties we might have to Afghanis at this time, and what makes this such a jarring event to watch.

An important note that we make in this episode is the distinction we draw between the great sacrifice of service people in national militaries, and the politics that we debate.
